Jayl's collaboration with brilliant Dutch Singer/Songwriter Landa continues to gather pace. Landa travelled to England in February and another new masterpiece - "Dark Angel" was written & recorded.

Andy Wood then constructed and recorded guitar parts for both "Dark Angel" & "Halloween." Jayl has since been working on the production for this project.

Jayl travelled back to Holland in April to work on the next phase of the project at Landa's Rotterdam studio.

Jayl & Landa also recently provided the music for an exhibition of the works of Terry Anthony, an artist Jayl has been working with for many years.

The exhibition, which took place in Ashford, Kent in February was a great success and a simply awesome new painting by Terry Anthony was revealed. It is called "Holy Ground" and was inspired by Jayl & Landa's song. This will be used as the cover for their final CD release.

Meanwhile, Jayl has been teaching talented young kids from the Variations Academy of Dance - based in Cheltenham. He helped them prepare for a recent show where they performed a self-composed song to an excited audience. These girls are aged between 8 - 11 and Jayl is involved with helping them to grow and develop their talents. He is also motivated by their enthusiasm and willingness to learn and will therefore be working with them again in May.

Whilst in England, Landa attended a session with Jayl where she performed one of her own songs in accapella style for the girls. They all screamed at the end, so thrilled were they!

Jayl recently took some time out to work with a group of young photographers from the Forest of Dean College. Some of the best shots were by James Tonen - a student of Jayl's friend & colleague - Mike Walter.

The Jayl.Net Poetry page has just been updated and includes Jayl's anti-war sonnet "The Silent Pool of Rage"

A book of Jayl's poetry and lyrics is planned for release in 2006.

In January 2005, Jayl's remarkable poem, "The Violin Player" was chosen by David Bowie as Poem of the Week on his website - BOWIE.NET.

At Christmas, the poem was turned into an enchanting song - Composed & Performed by Jayl & Andy Wood ... the song is featuring on JAYL ICE GOLD broadcasts.

Now, in 2006 ... "The Violin Player" was selected as Original Music of the Week on Bowie.Net in January.

Last Summer, in the magnificent setting of Gloucester Cathedral, Jayl & Jimmie Bone instigated yet another unique and innovative project. As part of their continued collaborations with up-and-coming young artists, they got together with the Gloucester Academy of Music to record a lost masterpiece - "In the Forest" by Adelina de Lara - the world famous concert pianist. The piece was written in 1949 and has never been recorded before. The session is still in the process of being edited and mixed.

The Academy will be performing the piece again @ the Tewkesbury Festival on May 25th 2006. Jayl & Jimmie will be in attendance.

The Academy performed the piece live at The Abbey School, Tewkesbury on December 12th as part of their 2005 Christmas concert.

During the Summer of 2005, Jayl & Jimmie Bone produced a Drum 'n Bass Vinyl Disc for DJ Detox, which is now being featured by Detox at his gigs. This follows Jayl & Bone's highly successful collaboration with him at the Gloucester Guildhall earlier in 2005. The work is now available as a limited edition CD - "Beastin' 175."
