During
September an amazing collaboration took place between Jayl and
an extraordinary and immense new talent from Rotterdam, The Netherlands
- Singer/Songwriter -
Landa.
She travelled to England specifically to work with Jayl. Two
songs were composed and recorded, called "We Break Our Chains"
& "Holy Ground" - both remarkable and unique pieces
of work. Jayl
then travelled to Holland at the end of October to work again
with Landa. A haunting and
spookachtig song was created called "Halloween." All
this work will be revealed in 2006!
Landa
is coming back to England in February. Jayl & Landa +Jimmie Bone
will be providing music for an exhibition of the works of Terry
Anthony, an artist Jayl has been working
with for many years. Landa will be opening the exhibition.

Last
winter - a memorial was erected at Dymchurch in Kent for Kevin
Crouch - a young engine driver on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch
Railway, who was tragically killed in an accident on the railway
during 2003. Jayl
was privileged and honoured to have a poem he wrote in memory
of Kevin inscribed in full upon the monument.
On
Sunday 4th September 2005, a special train was run to raise money
for the Kevin Crouch Memorial Garden. Both Jayl & Jimmie Bone
were delighted to be special guests of the Crouch family and Jayl
was absolutely thrilled to ride the engine itself with driver
Jon Emmins. He now feels ready to drive his own steam engine!

During
the Summer, in the magnificent setting of Gloucester Cathedral,
Jayl & Jimmie Bone instigated yet another unique and innovative
project. As part of their continued collaborations with up-and-coming
young artists, they got together with the Gloucester Academy of
Music to record a lost masterpiece - "In the Forest"
by Adelina de Lara - the world famous concert pianist. The piece
was written in 1949 and has never been recorded before. The
session is now in the process of being edited and mixed.
The Academy then performed the piece live at The Abbey School,
Tewkesbury on December 12th as part of their 2005 Christmas concert.

THOUGHT
FOR
THE SEASON
"Our
beautiful nurses should be given the best, but priorities are
twisted and resources are stressed.
The
cult of celebrity is ruling the land, while they struggle with
targets from a politicians hand.
Infrastructure
crumbling while they're stabbed in the back ... and greed is the
religion - "Hey - I'm all right Jack!"
Jayl
- December 2005 ... Dedicated to Jayl.Net Member - Katy Barnett
... Nurse & Singer.
