would like to congratulate our very own photographer Matt
Archibald - who arrived in Edinburgh on Thursday having cycled
all the way from Stroud in Gloucestershire to Edinburgh - a distance
of nearly 400 miles!!! This is a man who is determined to make
poverty history and we admire greatly his dedication and commitment.
Jayl
is taking a break from public performance this summer but there
is still loads happening and Jayl is as busy and creative as ever.
He is working on 6 major projects:-
1
- An exciting new DVD with Jimmie Bone & Dave the Goth - Planned
for release in the autumn.
2
- A secret orchestral project with Jimmie Bone, taking place this
summer. Something VERY SPECIAL! So special in fact, that it must
currently remain a secret!
3
- A project with DJ Detox. Jayl & Jimmie will be producing
a vinyl disc of their vocal samples and samples of Liz McCoy to
be used in Detox's live Drum 'n' Bass performances and in his
recordings. This is due to be produced during the summer.
4
- As well as the remastered "Forevelien", Jimmie will
be remastering "Sweet Baby Shark." It is then planned
to unleash these tracks in a big way onto the European market.
5
- A book of Jayl's poetry and lyrics - Planned for Release by
Christmas. Meanwhile, visit the Poetry
'n Motion Page.
6
- A revamp of Jayl.Net, concentrating particularly on the galleries,
the Jaylitzer and the navigation system. There has been so much
work created over the last couple of years and Jayl.Net has grown
and grown. Consequently, it is time for a reorganisation, as we
want you all to get the maximum possible enjoyment and inspiration
from this site.

During
the winter - a memorial was erected at Dymchurch in Kent for Kevin
Crouch - a young engine driver on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch
Railway, who was tragically killed in an accident on the railway
during 2003.
Jayl was privileged and honoured to have
a poem he wrote in memory of Kevin inscribed in full upon the
monument. Now it's summer, thousands of people will be passing
and visiting the monument and paying tribute to Kevin.
<<<<
Please feel free to visit the
Kevin Crouch Memorial Websitewhere
you can read the poem and leave your own tribute to Kevin by signing
the guestbook.

THOUGHT
FOR THE WEEK -
"Pounding
on my brain like a runaway train are the voices of the people that
I left in the rain, but everybody dreams and everyone knows it's
savage."
